Welcome to MI Henna and Art

This blog started with our quest to speak out on the controversies of henna culture in Ghana. Is black henna the same as "Henna"?, what are we applying to our skin?, how harmful are synthetic henna dyes to all skin tyoes and color? We share the henna stories, safety in henna designs, culture/tradition and go to shops for the best henna products and artist.

In summary, we are a team of henna artist and enthusiast from Ghana with the opportunity to share our talent, skills and knowledge with the world. We explore the beauty of the ancient-modern henna tradition, the dangers in using hair dyes as alternative to black henna designs, the scientific pros and cons on using synthetic hair dyes as a replacement to the henna plant powder "Lawsonia inermis".
